![]() Having decades of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, I can sympathize. You mention the offer by Beretta to use the new locking block for the pistols (M9) and the Army’s refusal. In that situation should I brush from the muzzle back instead? I’m not sure how I’m really supposed to get a cleaning rod thru my 10/22 barrel considering I don’t know how to get it into the breach. I’ve been worried by people who say it’ll ruin the rifling. I’ve always though that the cleaning rod isn’t gonna be too bad for it as long as you’re not deliberately scraping the bore. Seems to me that they aren’t gonna damage the barrel very significantly because they’re not as hard and because the barrel also has a projectile rammed thru it and swaged down to size. I currently only have the 3 piece rods and a bore snake and I honestly haven’t ever really worried about the 3pc rods. What is your opinion on the multi piece cleaning rods vs a 1 piece? Also what about the bore cables from Otis? I know they’re not bore snakes but actual cables that can attach the cleaning pieces. Chris I have a quick question for you regarding cleaning of barrels. I usually calmly explain the M9/92 service history and legacy, mention the 1301 as well as other shotguns, then I usually follow up by asking them if they know who the oldest gun maker in the world is? Most of them don’t…. ![]() Still can’t believe how many keyboard commandos will talk shit about an M9/92 or Beretta’s in general.
